Create your own DIY planter

Try creating a personalised hanging planter to add some colour and fun to your home. This will help transform the look of your simple walls by giving it an interesting 3-dimensional effect!

Step One:

Begin by finding a planter of your choice – one that best suits the overall style of your living area. You might like to go with a bowl-shaped pot (similar to the one we chose), or perhaps something a bit more edgy – like a rectangle or square.

Step Two:

After laying out newspaper to protect your surfaces, begin applying your chosen colour of paint to your planter. We went ahead with British Paints Naked City and Montage. Allow the paint to set completely before use.

Step Three:

Finally, secure the planter onto a strong rope or hanger, and set it up in the space you’d like it to sit. This is a perfect decorative piece that will add a nice touch of character to your simple blank walls (whatever the shade may be!). There are plenty of colours you could choose from, so explore your options in store or on our website.
