DIY Table Centrepiece

Enjoy the summer sun with dinner party’s outdoors with friends. Add colour easily to your table setting by giving your centrepieces new life with a fresh coat of paint for a fun, unique look.

Step One

Locate some wooden boxes, either from your local Bunnings or department store. Choose from a range of 3 sizes, or all the same, depending on the look that you’re after. Once that’s done, grab your paint tools; brush, paint, tape, ruler and newspaper as your protective mat.

Step Two

Once you’ve chosen your pattern, use the tape as a guide before you begin to paint. We’ve decided to go with large geometric shapes to add a fun, pop of colour perfect for summer.

Step Three

With your colour options, begin painting in the pattern you prefer. Once you’re done, allow 2 hours of dry time before completing a second coat.

Remove the tape while the paint is still wet so you don’t ruin your pattern!

Tip: have fun with decorating, from using them as planter boxes, fill with pebbles with mini cacti, or even use the two on the end as condiment holders, and the middle as a floral centrepiece!
