What can I paint timber cupboards with?

I have timber cupboards and want to paint them with oil based enamel. What primer should I use?

We would recommend the timber be given a light sand to clean the surface then apply one coat of British Paints PREP 4 in 1 (oil based), then two coats of British Paints Enamel (oil based).
