If you're torn between a bright, white room and a fun, colourful space in your bedroom, then you might want to try the two-tone trend - it's the best of both worlds!

When choosing colours, lighter shades will give the illusion of space where as darker tones will make the room feel cosy. Use the lighter of your two colours higher up on the wall, closer to the ceiling, to give the elusion of length on your walls.

Once you’ve decided on your colours, use painter’s tape for the areas you don’t want painted and place a protective matt on the floor to avoid any mess.

Tip: If you are using contrasting colours, make sure to wait for the lighter shade to dry completely first before you paint the lower half of the wall!
