How to work the minimalist trend into your home using black

Have fun with the minimalist and industrial trend by using neutral colours on your walls and simply adding touches of black décor for an industrial edge. The best thing about this trend is how simple black can be incorporated into your existing colour scheme.

Black in your kitchen

The kitchen is a great place where you can incorporate the shade without having to paint an entire space.  Bar stools and pendants come in many variations, and there are endless options in shades of black. Paint the cupboards a matte black and break up the space from your walls to your splashback.

Bathroom black

Here’s another small space that can easily be lifted with a touch of paint to your basin area, particularly if you have timber cupboards. If you’re already looking at a bathroom renovation, black tiling also works well in this space, with a crisp white grout to add contrast.

Nods of black

Living and dining spaces usually encompass a range of décor from your dining table to your storage cabinetry. Swap out your old dining chairs for clean, black ones or choose a floor lamp that will pair nicely with a few black ornaments.

Black pairings

Taking a step back from changing too much, simply swap out old frames and replace with black frames, or give them a spray outside with British Paints SprayEasy Paint&Prime.  This will immediately update your living area or around the house, without breaking the budget.
