DIY Cork Board

If you have any left-over paint or British Paints sample pots lying around, this cute, quick and easy way to style your cork board will add a fun element to your home office that takes no time at all!

Step One

Firstly, gather your paint supplies and corkboard. You will need a plain corkboard – we used one 30cm x 40cm -, a ruler, tape, scissors, pencil, paint, and newspaper to avoid any mess.

Step Two

Make straight edges with your ruler and trace out in a grey led the areas in which you would like to paint. You can choose to create as many, or little patterns as you please.

Step Three

Cover the remaining cork parts for protection and then you can begin to paint! Make sure you pull the tape off immediately after painting to create nice, clean lines.

Tip: Try using our British Paints SprayEasy Paint & Prime to make the job go even quicker, as it takes only 10 minutes to dry!

Step Four

Allow the first coat of paint to dry for 20 minutes. Once you’ve done your second coat, wait up to 24 hours before decorating to avoid any streaking or unevenness.

Once you’ve waited a day, you can now post to your brand-new stylish corkboard!
