Up-cycle some old drawers to bring a new pop of colour into your bedroom.

Step One:

Choose paint that will work well with the colour scheme in your room. Try matching the bedspread or contrasting to the wall colour.

Step Two:

Pull out the drawers and lightly sand the outside and front of each to ensure the surface you’ll be painting is smooth.

Don’t forget to lay out a protective sheet on the floor to minimise mess. Now you’re ready to paint!

Step Three:

Make sure you have gloves and a protective mask and apply your first coat of paint.

Step Four:

Allow the paint to dry for at least 30 minutes and then apply a second coat.

Tip - Leave for 24 hours before placing the drawers back into the nightstand – so you don’t scratch the paint while moving it.

Now you’re ready to style your new nightstand!
